This year, I Choose Freedom is participating in the Big Give’s Christmas Challenge from 2nd – 9th December (midday).

We’re raising funds for our ‘Warm Welcome to Refuge’ campaign to provide welcome packs to each individual or family walking through our doors. From a colouring book for little ones, to brand new bedding, toiletries and essentials, to the listening ear of a Refuge Advocate and a warm cup of tea.

During the campaign every donation will be DOUBLED until we reach our campaign target. If you give £10, it will become £20, meaning double the difference for our families.

We aim to raise £6,250 in supporter donations, which will be matched pound for pound towards our total campaign target of £12,500.

We know it takes huge courage to flee situations of domestic abuse. On top of emotional and physical impacts of abuse, survivors often face economic hardship, meaning they arrive at refuge with little to nothing. As they step through our doors, survivors often feel scared and anxious, unsure what the future holds.

With your support we can ensure every survivor is met with care, compassion and reassurance from the very first moment, giving them the essentials they need to take a first step towards rebuilding their lives free from abuse.
