Kate has been a Trustee since October 2019.

She has been a qualified lawyer for over 19 years, specialising in finance, corporate and commercial law. She is currently working full-time at Just in Reigate.

Why did you become a Trustee?

‘As a single mother of two young girls I feel it is important to raise awareness of the empowerment of women and to fight against domestic violence. As a trustee we are one step removed from the day-to-day realities,  but hearing about the women and children the refuge has helped is awe-inspiring and it is very moving when they go on to a better life. It has been a great opportunity to put my legal skills to good use helping others in desperate need and it has definitely helped me appreciate my life and children and made me feel very lucky for what we have.’ .

Kate is a single mum to two young girls and in her (rare) spare time she enjoys running, singing in her work choir, reading and cooking for friends.
